fashionSPARK is a part of SPARKcon, celebrating The Triangle as “The Creative Hub of the South.”  Now in it’s 6th year, fashionSPARK is the largest annual fashion show in The Triangle, last year drawing a crowd of over 1,500 spectators in downtown Raleigh’s City Plaza. fashionSPARK 2011 “Wear What You Are” will be featuring 15 up-and-coming fashion, accessory and green designers throughout the Triangle .  The show evokes and celebrates the true nature and joy of individual expression through fashion.

Visual Art Exchange (VAE) is the longest running non-profit visual arts organization in Raleigh. Founded in 1980 as Wake Visual Arts Association, VAE’s mission is to support all artists, particularly emerging, and connecting the community to the arts. Today, VAE is a creativity incubator that provides opportunities and entrepreneurial training for artists. VAE is also the organizing force behind SPARKcon, an interdisciplinary art and design festival and showcase held each fall in Downtown Raleigh.
